The 20th Annual Christmas Tour of Homes in Olde Town Conyers will offer a Candlelight walking tour on Saturday, December 9, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 10, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The tour will feature homes in the historic district – each beautifully decorated for the season – and guests will be able to take in the distinctive architecture and décor that makes each home unique. The walking tour will also pass several noteworthy sidewalk churches in the downtown area.

Proceeds from the tour will benefit Rockdale Emergency Relief (RER), the longest-serving non-profit organization specifically dedicated to serving Rockdale County residents to establish food security, utility assistance and some housing needs.

Conyers was originally developed in the 1850s as a train station on the Georgia Railroad connecting Augusta and Marthasville (now Atlanta), and visitors can still tour the original depot in the historic downtown village area. Spared by General William Tecumseh Sherman in his famed March to the Sea, the rich heritage of the Conyers community is reflected in the beauty of the homes that will be shared on the tour. Conyers residents and out-of-towners alike are invited to come enjoy the warmth of this welcoming Southern town steeped in history.

The Tour will begin at the First United Methodist Church in Olde Town, dubbed one of the Historic sidewalk churches. Conyers First United Methodist Church was founded in 1852 and continues a rich tradition of service to our community.  For more information:
