3 Little Things Campaign Kickoff

I am using this little space in this friendly little newspaper to try and do something that hopefully will have a not-so-little impact. A community is not only made great by natural beauty, proximity to desirable areas and existing capital base. A community is made enjoyable by the people who live there. It is how they approach their daily lives. Do they know and love their neighbors, despite the flaws?

Tee Time with Tony and the Master’s 2018

Returning to Augusta National to play in his First Major in three Years is Tiger Woods. I am very intrigued by the return of Tiger Woods. He is going for his fifth green jacket after missing 12 of the most recent major championships because of his injury. Can he still win? Does he still have it? At 42 years of age, will his body hold up? Is he mentally healed from all the personal issues? The definitive answers are days away.

Stories From Home

There’s this place. A wonderful place. Some call it a gathering place where stories live and adventure thrives. A little place here in a small city named Conyers where lives are shared through stories; such wonderful stories. I found out about this place just like anyone else would, by word from a friend. There’s something about a recommendation from a friend, a good friend, that just gives you peace about trying something new.

Irish Bred Pub, Covington, GA by Jason Fuchs (The Fooding Fuchs)

Top of the morning to you!  While browsing the town of Covington might not lead you to find any leprechauns, it doesn’t mean you can’t find a pot of gold.  That pot of gold is what’s cooking up at Irish Bred Pub. Irish Bred Pub is a franchise based out of the West side of Georgia and two cities in Alabama.  Owners Jack and Lisa Phillips remodeled the former Church Street Antiquities building in 2016. You’ll find them on the Square next door to The Cork.

What a great time of meeting families and making connections at the Back to School Bash at Conyers Middle School today! Parents and students were able to meet our new Superintendent Dr. Terry Oatts, new CMS Principal Dr. De'borah Reese, and Conyers Mayor Vince Evans. School supplies donated by Acuity Brands were distributed at the beginning of the event, with help from volunteers from Rockdale County High School and Rockdale Magnet School. Many great volunteers, non-profits, and vendors represented today. CMS also held the CMS Bulldog Camp for rising 6th graders today for orientation to their new school. Here are a few scenes. ...
