Can Anger and Fear Affect Your Health?

Whenever I find a positive story, I am bothered by the comments that invariably express anger and hostility instead of embracing the good. A pilot safely lands a compromised plane, and as people express their gratefulness, someone has to comment that she was just doing the job she was trained to do and it was nothing special. Why not celebrate the skill and the lives saved?

There is Hope

There is a word in the English language that I hate more than any other word. Suicide. I detest how it attempts to snatch the purpose and meaning of each person on this planet. This word comes to steal, kill and destroy. It’s relentless in trying to creep up and speak hopelessness to the heart of any woman or man. Recently, two celebrities made a choice that affected everyone that loved them. Something from this world was stolen that brought a flavor that will never be tasted again.

In Search of Mental and Emotional Wellness

The month of May is filled with many occasions to celebrate. The most noteworthy celebration of all is the day we honor those who gave birth, stepped in, fostered, adopted, surrogate and yes spiritual mothers. Healing Your Thinking

What if I told you that you could get rid of your own depression or anxiety? Would you be interested? What if I also told you that there is a possibility of healing schizophrenia and OCD? What a great time of meeting families and making connections at the Back to School Bash at Conyers Middle School today! Parents and students were able to meet our new Superintendent Dr. Terry Oatts, new CMS Principal Dr. De'borah Reese, and Conyers Mayor Vince Evans. School supplies donated by Acuity Brands were distributed at the beginning of the event, with help from volunteers from Rockdale County High School and Rockdale Magnet School. Many great volunteers, non-profits, and vendors represented today. CMS also held the CMS Bulldog Camp for rising 6th graders today for orientation to their new school. Here are a few scenes. ...
