Trail weekend! Trail weekend! Trail weekend!

The second annual Trail Weekend is now just hours away! (May 10th, 2016) What’s a Trail Weekend you ask? A Trail Weekend is a multi-day celebration that includes a 5K race, a one mile run/walk and a plethora of good food and entertainment. This year, Distillers of SLO County is proud to present the 10th Annual Trail Weekend. The following is a list of events that will take place over the course of our annual Trail Weekend celebration:  Race Day:

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Distillers of San Luis Obispo (SLO) County are excited to announce the Second Annual Trail Weekend, which will take place on August 21 and 22 and will highlight the County’s artisan distillers.

Each distillery on the Paso Robles Distillery Trail and the San Luis Obispo Distillery Trail will collaborate with local food purveyors to provide sampling flights, tours, live music, raffles, and more throughout the course of the weekend.

For decades, SLO County has been a wine destination. However, a new trend has swept the Central Coast in recent years: artisan distilling.

We’re going to get through this together, Atascadero

San Luis Obispo County already has over a dozen distilleries, with more set to launch in the next year, creating a range of small-batch artisan spirits such as whiskey, gin, rum, brandy, vodka, and liqueurs.

In August of 2019, the first-ever Trail Weekend was a huge success. The Distillers of SLO County are thrilled to reopen their doors to the public after a difficult year, which included postponing the 2020 Trail Weekend due to the pandemic, to exhibit the finest spirits the Central Coast has to offer from San Luis Obispo to Paso Robles.

The collectable Copper Card from SLO Distillers will be released this weekend. Guests may buy an engraved Copper Card for $60, which entitles them to a free sampling flight at each distillery (a $180+ value). Copper Cards may be bought at any of the trail’s distilleries. There are just a few left!

Participants in the Trail Weekend will have two chances to win a swag bag filled with branded goods from each distillery. To enter the giveaway, participants who gather stamps from four sites on their paper trail may turn in their completed map to any distillery. Two, participants who use the hashtag #trailweekend21 on Instagram photographs taken at any distillery will be included into a second lottery.
