Lisa Vanderpump Talks Filming ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Without Original Cast Members

“Vanderpump Rules” is one of the most popular reality shows on Bravo and has been a critical success since it first aired in December of 2014. The show is based on the lives of employees from the upscale “Vanderpump Rules” restaurant, who have been friends for years. To promote the show’s upcoming fourth season, we recently asked leading stars Lisa Vanderpump, Jax Taylor, James Kennedy and Scheana Marie about their favorite season of the show so far and what we can expect this season.

It was reported that Lisa Vanderpump was forced to film “Vanderpump Rules” without her original cast members, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, and Katie Maloney-Schwartz. The veteran reality star revealed the heartbreaking news, via Twitter, on Tuesday, February 19, 2017.

Despite the departure of many original cast members, Lisa Vanderpump believes the next season of “Vanderpump Rules” is “fantastic.”

Vanderpump discussed the more “mature tales” with a simplified season 9 cast on the “On With Mario Lopez” program.

“Some of them have matured, while others have not,” Vanderpump added. “This season, it has a little different taste, but it’s still powerful and convoluted.”

The popularity of the Bravo reality program, according to the SUR owner, is due to “the genuineness of these relationships that have been so intertwined for so many years.”

She went on to say, “It generates a lot of emotions.” “These youngsters aren’t afraid to express themselves.”

Despite the departures of original cast members Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor, and Brittany Cartwright, Vanderpump predicted a “fantastic season” with “a lot of feel good moments, a lot of celebration.”

“It did become a little sticky, to be honest,” she joked.

Last year, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni were dismissed from “Vanderpump Rules” when their racist conduct was exposed. Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright left the program as well. When questioned about shooting with longstanding cast members, Vanderpump pointed out that many of the major characters weren’t on the show from the start when it premiered in 2013.

She said, “It’s a bit of a developing show.” “We have individuals who have joined the cast late in the game, like Lala [Kent], who came around a third of the way through. James Kennedy was not a part of the original cast. Randall [Emmett] and Raquel [Leviss] are here.

“So we lost some along the way,” Vanderpump added, “but I believe it was the correct decision.” “It was Bravo’s decision,” says the narrator. Listen… some of them have grown as a result of their errors; I wish we could have witnessed that development on camera, but it was their choice, so we had no choice but to cope with it. But, if you think about it, we had a pretty big cast to begin with, so there were definitely as many problems as there were.”

Vanderpump also discussed her more active position this season.

She said, “It’s a fantastic season.” “I believe I’m more of a mentor than a teacher, since a lot of them are attempting to start businesses on their own. But it’s simply that these individuals are emotionally linked to one another. It does, without a doubt, always start.”

According to Vanderpump, the post-pandemic filming elicited strong emotions.

Despite the absence of previous pot-stirrers from the group, the upcoming season of “Vanderpump Rules” will not be short on drama. When shooting resumed following the COVID-19 epidemic, Vanderpump told Bravo’s Daily Dish that the group — which includes Kent, Scheana Shay, Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, Tom Schwartz, and Katie Maloney-Schwartz – let it all out.

The actors, according to Vanderpump, “might be more mature, but you certainly get the feeling that they’ve been locked up for a year.” “No one does it better than these youngsters. On-screen and off-screen, they conduct their lives in this manner. Everything is like, people make huge declarations, there are enormous emotions, and the relationships are complex. It’s simply a bunch of individuals that are loud and volatile at times.”

The stories would be “a bit more concentrated” with the trimmed-down ensemble, according to Vanderpump, who also hinted, “We’ve got a couple of new characters.” We’ve lost a few individuals along the road, but we still have a large cast of characters who are all extremely acquainted with one another – sometimes a bit too familiar.”
