It’s not often that a team as good as the New England Patriots finish with the number 1 pick in the draft, but this year, that’s exactly what happened. With Tom Brady’s retirement looming, the Patriots need a new franchise quarterback to step right in and replace him, and they accomplished just that with the #1 selection in the 2021 NFL Draft. Here are the 3 best moves they made in the draft:

The Patriots’ biggest need heading into the 2021 NFL Draft was depth on the defensive line. They got that and more, drafting defensive tackle Mike Neal, who was ranked No. 77 nationally coming out of high school, and nose tackle Tyrell Biggs, who was ranked No. 21 nationally out of high school. Neal (6-foot-2, 270 pounds) was a three-year starter at Penn State. Biggs (6-foot-1, 310 pounds) was a three-year starter at Alabama.

Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots had a very successful selection. After spending a lot of money in free agency and winning the march, the Patriots are ready to fight again. They added tight ends Jonnah Smith and Hunter Henry, gave arms to Cam Newton or Mack Jones and signed midfielders Matthew Judon and Kyle Van Noy to bolster their defense this season.

After making these big strides in the offseason, the Patriots should take a big leap forward this season. They had the perfect off-season you could imagine. With a great recruiting class and an outstanding pick, the Patriots are ready for this season.

Here are the top three moves they made in the 2021 NFL Draft.

3. Christian Barmore selected in the second round

New England made a promotional move in the second round, selecting Barmore at No. 38 in the draft. The defender should be a great player for them. His size and explosive nature give him the potential to be a future star in the league. He is able to stop the run and provide protection in the passing game. His versatility on the line allows them to defend even better. With the new acquisitions, Barmore can be an integral part of New England’s defense for years to come.

2. Ronnie Perkins Third Round Draft

The Patriots added a very effective top linebacker in the third round. Perkins seems to be a good fit at this stage of the draft. Given New England’s pressure problems last season, that position has improved significantly.

They already had Chase Winovich and Josh Uche, but now they’ve added Judon, Van Noy, Barmore and Perkins. Perkins played three years in college and was a very productive player. He does a great job with interceptions and interceptions in losses. He has 24 interceptions and 11.5 sacks in his last 19 games. He should be able to make an impact at the next level for the Patriots.

1. Mac Jones received in round

This is a great way to start the project. It was no secret that the Patriots were in the market for quarterbacks, even after contracting Cam Newton in the offseason. While many predicted New England would pick a future quarterback, Mac Jones got them at #15. It was the perfect scenario for Belichick and the Patriots, as they now have their quarterback for the future. Jones had a phenomenal season, receiving three first-place votes for the Heisman and winning the national championship with Alabama.

His accuracy will allow him to easily move up to the NFL level. He’s not a moving quarterback like Cam Newton, but Belichick is used to building a team around those types of guys. After Tom Brady’s 20 seasons, another pocket quarterback won’t be a problem. He may not be the next Tom Brady, but he has the potential to be the quarterback of the franchise. Jones doesn’t have to start right away, but he’ll probably play at some point this season.

Thanks to some excellent free agency and draft picks, New England is off to a great season after missing the playoffs last year.

Who Will Patriots draft in 2021?

Though the New England Patriots are the biggest winners of the 2018 NFL Draft, it’s hard to imagine them being completely satisfied with their haul. In fact, an argument can be made that they are already looking ahead to the draft in 2021. Plenty of holes are already plugged on their roster, but they aren’t without needs. The New England Patriots (no official website) are a professional football team from the USA. They play in the Eastern Conference of the National Football League, and play their home games at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The franchise was founded in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League. The following year, they became the first modern-era team to join the NFL, leaving the AFL. They win the AFC East division of the NFL every year. The team is coached by Bill Belichick since 2000, when he took over after Pete Carroll, the head coach from 1997 to 1999. Tom Brady has been the team’s quarterback since 2001, when he took over after Drew Bledsoe, the quarterback from 1993 to

Who has the most draft picks in 2021?

Next spring, the NFL draft will be held in Atlanta, and the new home of the Falcons will be filled with fans eager to see how the team’s newest additions will help them compete at a Super Bowl level—and the buzz is going to be even louder than usual. The Falcons, tied for second in the NFL with 13 total draft picks this past spring, are in the running to have the most draft choices in 2021, when the next draft will be held in Buffalo. The Patriots are currently tied with the Falcons in the total number of picks for the 2021 draft with 13. Dallas, Indianapolis, and Washington At the end of the 2021 season, the NFL will hold its annual draft, where each team can pick from the best college football players to fill out its roster. This year, the Atlanta Falcons have the most picks in the draft with 21, and are followed by the New England Patriots, who have 20 picks. While this may seem like an advantage, the Falcons are in a unique situation where their high number of picks can actually hurt them. This is because the Falcons are unable to trade away their picks in the next draft, and do not know who they will have to choose from. The Falcons will just have to wait until next season to see if they have any promising players.

Will the Patriots draft a QB in 2021?

In the not-too-distant future, the New England Patriots will have to start thinking about how to replace Tom Brady. Only a few years away from 40, the Patriots current starting quarterback has made no secret of his desire to play past the age of 45. As hard as it may be to imagine, the Patriots will have to plan ahead if they hope to remain contenders in the years to come. The New England Patriots have made it clear that Tom Brady isn’t going anywhere—ever. And, as long as he’s playing quarterback in Foxborough, the Patriots will be perennial Super Bowl contenders. However, that doesn’t mean the Pats are going to ignore the position entirely in the years to come. The NFL is a young man’s league, and Brady will turn 45 by the time the 2021 NFL Draft rolls around. (He’ll be 45 years and one month old, in fact.) There are a few intriguing quarterback prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft, but next year’s class is looking like an all-out quarterback bonanza. The Patriots will be in prime position to pick one of the top quarterbacks of the 2021 NFL Draft, but they
