QB Patrick Mahomes suffered a concussion Sunday in the third quarter.

The Kansas City Chiefs survived a terrifying win over the Cleveland Browns that nearly ended their playoff streak. Instead, some desperate plays by QB Chad Henne and coach Andy Reid sealed the 22-17 victory in the final two minutes.

Henne’s heroics came after Patrick Mahomes suffered a concussion in the third quarter that kept the 25-year-old MVP out of the game for the rest of the game.

During the post-game press conference, Reed gave reassurances about his calling superstar, stating that Mahomes is stable and does not have a concussion.

He got hit in the back of the head and it kind of took his breath away and everything, so we got him out of there, Reed told reporters Sunday afternoon via Teresa Paylor Sports of Yahoo Sports. He’s doing very well now, which is very positive when you look at him. He did all the things he had to do. So, let’s see what happens.

Reed, the chiefs are showing their faith in Chad Henne.

As the Chiefs faced third and fourteenth on their own home court, it was a 13.5 yard burst by Henne that allowed his head coach to make an incredible four-point pass to secure the victory.

When asked about Henna’s trust, Reid doesn’t even flinch.

When you’re around him, you just know it, Reid said at his press conference, via ESPN’s Adam Thacher. Everyone trusts him completely.

After a hard-earned win in Kansas City, several of Henne’s teammates, including Mahomes, confirmed that #HenneThingIsPossible.

It wasn’t clean, and it certainly wasn’t our best work. But they only have to work to get the job done. N/A my triple OG Chad Henne #GoBlue way.
