Police have identified the shooter as a 19-year-old. He also died from what appears to be a self-inflicted wound. Looks like he had a troubled past. In March 2020, his mother reported that he may have attempted suicide with a cop. The Indianapolis FBI office found this out.
Authorities took immediate action regarding his mental health. They also investigated aspects of his ideology and found no criminal violations. There was a shotgun in his house, which the police took from him but did not give to him.
Police identify victims of gun violence in Indianapolis
Indianapolis police have released the names of the eight people killed in a shooting. It is a mix of men and women, ranging in age from 19 to 74. The administration cannot determine the cause of death until an autopsy is performed. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) said it would not release the names of the injured. The shooter appears to have fired indiscriminately.
People who witness such violent incidents remain traumatized for life. According to CNN, investigators are trying to find a motive for this sordid slaughter.

Four victims of gun violence belong to Sikh community
According to NBC News, a gunman fired randomly at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, killing eight people.
Four of them belonged to the local Sikh community. The alleged shooter legally purchased two assault rifles in July and September. Police say he used them in acts of violence and eventually committed suicide. Indianapolis police said the suspect, identified as a former employee of the facility, used the weapons he purchased despite red flags meant to prevent such purchases. Earlier, the shooter’s mother had called police to let them know that her son could be a danger to himself and the community. Later, the FBI arrived on the scene and questioned him. By the way, this year’s FedEx shoot was the third high-profile shoot in Indianapolis. These are examples of the dangers the community faces from easy access to firearms.
