Director Zack Snyder, who has returned to remake his version of Justice League, a four-hour, R-rated film that premiered on HBO Max in March, confirmed Swanwick-as-J’onn J’onzz when he released a storyboard in late 2019.
“When I’m in it, even if it’s just for 20 or 10 seconds, I’m more than happy, because I didn’t think I’d be in it, and I had no idea I was going to be a Martian bounty hunter until Zack found out. But he still likes to surprise me,” he recently spoke about his superhero role, which did not appear in the Justice League version released in 2017. “It was the happiest day I never expected when I found out this was going to happen. I can’t wait to be there, whatever it is. If it’s a second one, I’d be happy”.
Snyder Cut’s version of the Martian bounty hunter will come as a surprise even to Lennix. He said of the character’s realization, “I don’t know what I’m going to look like. I don’t know what the body will look like and everything else, but I can’t wait”. This guy, for example, is probably in good shape. Honestly, I don’t know if it’s reverse engineering, but I had a cap [suit] and I did it.
In JUSTICE LEAGUE ZACK SNIDER, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) is determined to make sure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) deadly sacrifice is not in vain. He teams up with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) and sets out to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from a threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce had imagined, as each of the recruits must confront the demons of their past to overcome whatever held them back and unite to finally form a never-before-seen league of heroes. Now reunited, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSad and Darkseid and their terrible intentions.
Zack Snyder’s “Justice League” comes out March 18 on HBO Max.
