It’s week eight of the NFL, and running backs have predictable (and worse) bruises and contusions that can prevent them from doing so or limit their effectiveness.

Aaron Jones missed the victory of the Green Bay Packers in Houston and his calf injury could be postponed in Sunday’s game against Minnesota. If Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde run out of time, the Seattle Seahawks may have to be creative in their fight against San Francisco, and 49 players also have their own problems in the backfield. Joe Mixon (Bengali), Philip Lindsay (Broncos), Devonte Freeman (Giants) and Justin Jackson (Chargers) could also lose their time.

On the positive side, the top two fullbacks of the league – Viking Dalvin Cook and Panthers Christian McCaffrey – could be back in week 8, but that’s not true at all.

In the meantime, the Dallas Cowboys may have to compete as third quarterback, and New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas hasn’t played since the first weekend. Is it finally his week to come back?

Here’s a list of the biggest injuries suffered by ESPN NFL journalists.

Is linebacker Matt Milano healthy enough to do his job? After scoring twice in a row as a result of a chest injury, Milan came back in the game against the Jets and played only 33 percent of Bill’s defensive shots. With the Patriots arriving in Orchard Park on Sunday, Buffalo will probably need the main defender in the middle of the field. In practice he was limited to the beginning of the week, as he has become accustomed to this season. — Marcel Louis-Jacques.

DeVante Parker suffered a groin injury in week 6 of the Jets’ league and didn’t come back, which initially worried him about his punctuality. But the farewell week comes at exactly the right time for Parker, who resumes the limited training on Wednesday and seems to be heading in the right direction on Sunday. — Cameron Wolf

Considering that N’Keal Harry is the first receiver in the concussion protocol (Jacoby Meyers – his supposed replacement) and that it seems unlikely that he will play, the biggest question for the left-handed goalkeeper of the Joe Tuney franchise. After missing the second half of Sunday’s loss to 49 players due to an ankle injury, Tuney was limited to Wednesday’s practice and will probably miss the game for the first time in his NFL career. — Mike Travel

The Jamison Crowder broadband receiver, which was on a groin injury last week, is a question mark as the jets prepare for a titanic confrontation with the chiefs. I hope he’s back for practice on Thursday. If he does, he gets a chance to play. They really need it because they probably won’t get WR Breshad Perriman. Without Perryman and Crowder, their best ambassadors would be Jeff Smith, Braxton Berrios and Denzel Mims. Combination of quarries keeps : 37. — Rich Chimini

NORTH

Fugitive Mark Ingram did not train on Wednesday after coach John Harbo expressed his optimism last week about Ingram’s preparation for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steels. This is not a good sign for Ingram, because he had to rest for a whole week from his left ankle injury to say goodbye. But Ingram is extremely strong and hasn’t missed a single game since 2015 due to injuries. If Ingram is suspended, Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins share the workload. Ingram is even in third place this season, behind Dobbins (130) and Edwards (123). — Jamison Hensley.

When Joe Mixon ran back, he wasn’t training with a leg injury. Mixon’s absence may not have been felt in the loss of Sunday 37-34 to the Brownes, but the Bengalis are desperate to return to one of their stars as soon as possible. The availability of the Mixon has yet to be determined, but it should be noted that the team did not protect the rider Jacques Patrick in his training team this week. This suggests that Mr. Mixon’s prediction will be more optimistic than last week. In any case, this is a situation that will be taken into account for the rest of the week. — …Ben baby.

Defender Miles Garrett trained on Wednesday with an ankle injury. However, coach Kevin Stefanski said that sticking to Garrett was just a precaution and that the star baseball car should do well against the Raiders on Sunday. — Jake Trotter

The Stalers received a long report about the injury on Wednesday, but the only serious injury is that of DB Mike Hilton, who missed a victory over the Titans with a shoulder injury against the Brownes on Sunday. Hilton has to practice this week, but he missed Wednesday’s practice. Cam Sutton played very well in his absence, but the Steelers need all the help they can get to stop the attack of the Ravens. — Brooke Pryor

The Texans hope that Corner Bradley Roby, who left after an episode against the Packers on Sunday, suffered only a minor injury. On Monday, the temporary head coach Romeo Crannel said they were examining an ankle and a knee. They’re investigating him today. I didn’t hear anything about what they found. Centre Ryan Kelly was forced to train for his first training session after the farewell week due to a knee injury. The fact that Kelly was able to participate in at least part of the training is a positive sign that her injury doesn’t seem too serious. Kelly has made 99% of the shots this season and hasn’t missed a single game since the 2018 season. In total he missed 13 races in 2017 and 2018. — Mike Wells

If the week LB gives Miles Jack time to rest from his ankle injury on 18 December, the team will work the next day. October in Detroit. He didn’t play against the Chargers on Sunday, and coach Doug Marron said he thinks Jack will play against Texas in 8th place. November. Dakota Allen ran into Jack against the Chargers and had two gears, but she also suffered an ankle injury. — Mike DiRocco

Jadveon Clowney left the Steelers game last Sunday with a knee injury, but returned after a few episodes. He didn’t work Wednesday. Due to the knee injury he missed training for the last three races. The Titans are still waiting for a dominant match in the Triple Pro Cup. — Thurron Davenport

AH WEST

Running back Phillip Lindsay, who has missed three games this season and the other two with injuries, is on concussion report and has not trained on Wednesday. Bronco coach Vic Fangio said the team is not allowed to know if Lindsay will be allowed to play against the Los Angeles Chargers until Saturday. Lindsay was the spark that ignited an urgently needed attack when Cortland Sutton’s broadband receiver went into the injury reserve after losing the team in Game 2 in Pittsburgh. Lindsay plays a 100-yard rush in one of her three starts and averages over five yards per carrier. When Lindsay is unavailable, Melvin Gordon receives most of the work in the attack, and Royce Freeman also receives some photos. — Jeff Legold.

Defender Taco Charlton resumed training on Wednesday as a full rival after missing last week’s race due to a knee injury. It’s a good indication of his chances of playing against the Jets. This week the bosses could use some pictures of Charlton. Both ends of the defense, Mike Dunna and Alex Okafor, are on the list of injured reservists. Charlton played well as a simulator before he was injured. – Adam Thacher

Although RT Trent Brown remains on the COVID-19 list after a positive result early last week, the Raiders hope he can pass on the protocols and return to the team in time for the game in Cleveland. Brown, who signed a four-year $66 million contract with a free man in 2019, rarely trained at a training camp because of a calf injury and only played three times to open the season, after which he was released on September 11. October for a victory in Kansas City. In the absence of Brown, the Raiders on the right are expected to face Sam Young, Denzel Hood and Brandon Parker. Healthy Brown is a great opportunity not only to protect Derek Carr’s QB, but also to win the game for Josh Jacobs’ RB. — Paul Gutierrez.

Running back Justin Jackson is on the list of suspects with a knee injury. But he has to play, and that’s good news for the injured Chargers. Because the RB Austin Ekeler lasted longer than expected, Jackson is very helpful. They got Joshua Kelly, who was inefficient at best. — Shelly Smith

Andy Dalton’s quarterback didn’t train on Wednesday and the question is if he can train because of a concussion. Right now, rookie Ben DiNucci is the starting quarterback for Sunday in Philadelphia and he has the most work, and Garrett Gilbert supports him. It’s an alarming time for attacks, although Pro Bowl defender Zack Martin (concussion) and Joe Luney, who opened the season as starting centre, have resumed training. What the cowboys don’t know is that there are five players who have to defend DiNucci (or Dalton) on Sunday. The Cowboys will have the ninth different offensive line configuration in the season against the Eagles. — Todd Archer

Field Yates explains who would benefit from the Giants if Devonte Freeman sat out Monday night and Matthew Berry was thinking of adding Wayne Gellman.

Devonte Freeman’s running back fights an ankle injury. The Giants didn’t train on Wednesday – they play on Monday-evening – but Freeman worked on the coach’s side during Tuesday’s practice. She’s threatening her status this week against the Bucks. If he can’t walk, expect a heavy dose of Wayne Gellman, the football manager. — Jordan Ranan

Orlov’s attack is getting better. Rookie receiver Jalen Reagor (UCL of the thumb) is back in training and hopes for medical approval to play against the Cowboys on Sunday night. Jason Peters’ (toe) left hand has also come back and is about to start against Dallas. — Tim McManus.

Allen Robinson’s broadband receiver is included in the NFL earthquake minutes, Coach Matt Nagy said Wednesday. Robinson, 27 years old, is a decisive defeat for the bears (5-2), who host the New Orleans Saints (4-2) on Sunday. Robinson leads Chicago with 44 nominations of 544 yards. Last year Robinson had 98 catches for 1,477 yards and seven touchdowns for one of the worst fouls in the league. The bears also take advantage of the possibility of not having white hair in Cody’s center in week eight. White Hair, who has played 71 consecutive matches against the Rams every day since joining the league in 2016 due to a calf injury. — Jeff Dickerson.

Lions are healthy enough for their proximity in the middle of the season. The only injury registered for Detroit is Desmond Trufant Corner, who still skips time with a hamstring injury. This is good news for the team, which has had to deal with a large number of injuries throughout the year. You have to be especially careful with corners and who can come back, because Justin Coleman started training last week, hoping to get out of the injured stock at some point. — Michael Rothstein

Some people thought Puckers took the precaution last week of keeping Aaron Jones on the run from the Texans to prevent his calf injury from getting worse. But Jones did not return to practice on Wednesday and there are now legitimate fears that it will cost him his second straight game. He needs to get better every day and I know he’s doing his best, said coach Matt LaFleur on Wednesday. We want to be very, very careful with him and not put him in a position where he wastes a lot of time. It could take another week with Jamal Williams as the main support of Rob Demovsky.

Dalvin Cook is still struggling with a groin injury, but resumed training on Wednesday after a two-week break. That’s good news, but Minnesota hasn’t come out of farewell week in good health anywhere, especially in high school. Last week George Iloka was admitted to the IR insurance and Mike Hughes (neck), Holton Hill (leg) and Cameron Danzler (reserve/COVID-19) did not participate in the first training day this week. For now it looks like Jeff Gladney, Chris Boyd and Harrison Hend will cover the packer Dawante Adams in week 8. Oops! — Courtney Cronin

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Falcons plan to sit in the defensive section of Taccar McKinley’s driver game against the Panthers Thursday night, partly due to a prolonged groin injury and partly to explore business opportunities. A passer-by specialist played no part in the opening match of these teams, as the Panthers kept Atlanta undisturbed. — David Newton

Christian McCaffrey was assigned to return from an injured reserve after missing five games due to a sprain of the ankle. The Panthers have until Thursday at 4 p.m. to decide if there will be a return this week. McCaffrey has only trained two days without contact for a short week, but Matt Roole says a comeback is possible. On his return McCaffrey will attack the red zone, where he has to find a way to run in 20 years time. McCaffrey made four reckless touchdowns in less than two games for his two-week injury. — David Newton

The Michael Thomas broadband receiver has been the biggest problem for the Saints since the first week. But now he’s got half the WR room. Thomas (ankle/trunk), Emmanuelle Sanders (replacement COVID) and rookie Marques Callaway (ankle) missed the training on Wednesday. Sanders won’t be able to be active again until Sunday, so he probably won’t play. Adam Schaefter of ESPN said last week that it was doubtful that Thomas would play this week. Callaway may have a better chance, as he was optimistic after his breakthrough in the seventh lap. But all their statutes will be called into question until we see what they put into practice. This means that RB Alvin Camara, TE Jared Cook and WR Tre’Quan Smith remain the top three players in the passing game of New Orleans. — Mike Triplet

Matthew Berry explains how Tom Brady and other Bax catchers may have been influenced in their fantasy with Chris Godwin, who was sidelined in week 8.

The Chris Godwin wideband receiver will not play against the New York giants, but could be present at the most important game of the 9th round. The player will be available for the second round against his southern rival, the NFC – New Orleans. Godwin underwent surgery for a broken finger on Tuesday, and coach Bruce Arian expressed doubts about his ability to come back on time in week nine. I think he’s very optimistic he’ll be back in a week. But it’s possible. We don’t know for how long, but yes, we’re insured. — Jenna Lane

The Cardinals will use the experience they’ve gained so far to lure many healthy players to their ninth final, including Jordan Hicks’ linebacker and Jordan Phillips’ defender. The extra exemption will also help Jailen Thompson return from the injured reserve. — Josh Weinfuss.

Tyler Higby is struggling with an arm contusion that has kept him inactive for seven weeks and it is not certain he will return against the Dolphins on Sunday. It’s not exactly an isolated area, it’s all over the place, Coach Rams told Sean McVeigh about Higby’s bruise. He doesn’t say anything and he plays as much as anybody else, so I know it really bothers him now. If Higby can’t play, Gerald Everett and Johnny Mundt will have bigger roles again. — …Lindsay Tiri.

The 49ers were injured when Rahim Mostort, Tevin Coleman and Jeff Wilson Jr. fled. But Coleman can be back in time for the Seahawks collision on Sunday. Coleman spent most of last month in the injury reserve, but on Wednesday he opened a 21-day training window and trained on a limited scale. Coach Kyle Shanahan expressed the hope that Coleman could be available in Seattle, which would be useful for a team that currently has only Jeric McKinnon and JaMycal Hasty in position. — Nick Wagoner

The Seahawks hope that Jamal Adams (groin), trained as a limited participant on Wednesday, will be safe. It’s a sign that he’s on his way home to play against San Francisco on Sunday. They also hope to avoid a possible emergency, which arose in their suddenly damaged backfield after Chris Carson (leg), Carlos Hyde (hamstring) and Travis Homer (knee) were injured against Arizona. The Sea Hawks will be resting in Carson this week and many, if not all, will see it coming on Sunday. Carroll said Hyde wasn’t the most serious injury and Homer was better on Wednesday than Tuesday, but his status wasn’t clear either. Since COVID 19 protocols prohibit teams from hiring free agents for immediate reinforcements, Seattle may have to approach 49 players creatively and use another option to turn back the clock. — Brady Henderson
