Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s Team Up With The Shoe Surgeon to Debut Angus Kicks

Karls Jr. and Hardy have teamed up with shoe surgeon Dominic Siambrone for a push to launch Angus Steakhouse Tuckburger. Carl Jr. and Hardy have teamed up with The Shoe Surgeon to launch the Original Angus Kicks, the world’s first burger-inspired shoes from The Shoe Surgeon. These special shoes feature an original design inspired by the flavors of the Angus Thickburger steakhouse, a favorite menu item that returns at Carl’s Jr. and debuts at Hardee’s.

We are excited to bring the luxurious and decadent Angus Thickburger steakhouse back to our Carl’s Jr. restaurants and present it for the first time at Hardee’s in a unique partnership with the shoe surgeon, said Patty Trevino, vice president of marketing for CKE Restaurants, Inc. We continue to bring incredible culinary innovations to our customers and partnering with Shoe Surgeon is a natural way to bring the burger to life with original headbangs.

As you can see from the image below, Angus’ original kicks are custom made and include an exclusive pair for Carl Jr. and Hardy. Each pair features a chunky sole on a workout silhouette, the Happy Star logo that restaurateurs know and love, and combinations of textures and materials unique to each brand. The sneakers also have a hidden storage pocket on the tongue, perfect for storing essentials like ketchup bags and shoes.

I grew up at Carl’s Jr. and working with these brands in our first burger collaboration brought me back to my childhood, Ciambrone said in a statement. I had fun taking inspiration for these shoes from the modernized Angus Thickburger Steakhouse. We’ve added a unique touch to each design, like a tag with a hidden money bag or a ketchup bag that burger and sneaker lovers are sure to love.

If those beats are as irresistible as the burger that inspired them, you should know. Although you can buy the Thickburger Angus Steakhouse at Carl’s Jr. or Hardee’s, the stores do not carry the original Angus Kicks. Instead, fans can enter the Angus Kicks contest by signing up between the 19th and the 23rd. In April, you can buy unlimited $10 lottery tickets at www.TheSurgeon.com. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit Star for Heroes, the annual fundraiser of Carl’s Jr. and Hardy’s for military-related organizations.

Fans of Carl’s Jr. and Hardy will also have another chance to win custom mops from the Angus Luxury collection. The collection, which includes a 14-karat gold sauce and a Thickburger bomber jacket from designers L’Oliphant and ZZ, will be on display from 26 to 29. April will be available at www.AngusLuxuryCollection.com. Shoppers can show a recent receipt for a chance to win an item from the collection.

Angus Thickburger Steakhouse is back at Carl’s Jr. and made its debut at Hardee’s this month. It’s a hand-seasoned 100% Angus beef patty topped with A1 sauce, two slices of bacon, Swiss cheese, tomato, lettuce, red onion and mayonnaise on a premium bun. Prices start at $6.49 plus tax, but prices and participation may vary.
