While many of the team’s fans are still reeling from the team’s stunning 31-25 loss in Super Bowl XLV, others are hoping for a Super Bowl victory in 2013. One of the most divisive issues surrounding the Packers is the question of whether the team would be better off without their star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy understands that the Aaron Rodgers quarterback situation has divided fans the past five weeks, but he left no doubt about the team’s priorities. In his monthly column on Packers.com, Murphy first explicitly addressed fans’ concerns about the Packers’ separation from Rodgers, which occurred on the 29th. Murphy confirms his commitment to Gutekunst
Murphy didn’t need to mention Rogers in his column. He chooses which fan questions to answer each month, and this month he didn’t choose questions directly related to Rodgers or the situation. Rodgers was asked about the chant during a live interview with ESPN’s Lisa Salters as the Packers were losing to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game. “I’m not really sure why they’re saying that,” Rodgers said. “I’m not sure what the reason behind it is.
