He averaged 8.3 points per game and 5.7 rebounds as a senior at Marquette in the 2014-15 season, but according to The Undefeated, he didn’t even sign up for the 2015 NBA Draft. After college, Toscano-Anderson played professional basketball in Mexico and Venezuela from 2016-2018. Before the start of the 2018-19 NBA season, however, he tried out for the Santa Cruz Warriors, a G-League team, and eventually earned a roster spot. In the 2018-19 season, Toscano-Anderson averaged 7.0 points and 6.8 rebounds in 44 games and took a big jump in production in the 2019-20 season. Last season, Toscano-Anderson averaged 12.5 points and 9.1 rebounds in 31 games for Santa Cruz in the G-League. His good play led the Warriors to select him in February 2020. He then averaged 5.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 13 games for the Warriors in the 2019-20 season before becoming a key player in Golden State’s rotation in the 2020-21 season. Toscano-Anderson is averaging 5.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in 53 games for the Warriors this season. He also shot 40.2 percent from three-point range.
