Roc Nation and Modern Luxury Team to Launch EDITION

For ROC Nation and Modern Luxury’s latest collaboration, the two companies are teaming up to launch an Atlanta-based luxury hotel on June 14th, 2018. The two-year-old ROC Nation is a pop-up store with boutique status and has recently teamed up with Modern Luxury to help design the hotel.

Roc Nation and Modern Luxury teamed up to launch the EDITION, a new lifestyle brand that puts an upscale spin on some of today’s hottest trends. It was also a labor of love for the brand’s co-founders, Roc Nation CEO Jay-Z and Modern Luxury President Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson. “It’s a lifestyle brand, so for us it means really putting an upscale spin on some of the trends that are hot in the marketplace right now but also essential to what everyone needs to be comfortable in their own skin,” Jay-Z said. The R-rated rapper and his go-to bandleader first started work on the collaboration nearly two years ago, and it came together even faster than either expected.

The Roc Nation Sports & Entertainment agency is partnering with luxury brands like Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Gucci, and more, as it aims to create the most luxurious off-field product in sports.

Roc Nation is keeping the culture moving forward. The entertainment business established by Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter has announced a partnership with Modern Luxury Media, the country’s biggest luxury media company, to develop a brand and multimedia platform. The new brand and multimedia platform, EDITION by Modern Luxury, will amplify and elevate voices influencing popular culture.

EDITION will be the first completely multi-platform gateway into the world of luxury, celebrating talent from all walks of life via print, digital, social, and immersive activations, as well as unique moments of discovery. Insider material, as well as richer audio and video storytelling, will be accessible via secret tokens scattered throughout the magazines.

Roc Nation and Modern Luxury have teamed together to promote digital natives as well as a broad collection of content producers and talent.

Isoul H. Harris will serve as the editor-in-chief of EDITION and will work closely with Roc Nation EVP Strategy & Communications Jana Fleishman as well as the Modern Luxury team to ensure that the multimedia platform constantly evolves and elevates a diverse array of voices.
