BAMS Vs. MBBS Course: Which is Better Option For You?

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) is the first medical course after the MBBS and is a two-year course. It covers the full range of the science and art of medicine, focusing on the study of ancient systems of medicine, holistic healing, and nature-based therapies. The concept of a BAMS is that it complements the MBBS by providing a deeper understanding of the body and the mind, while also providing a greater opportunity for personalised medicine. This is in contrast to the MBBS system which is in theory based on a research-based curriculum and views the patient as a model system. However, the MBBS course is the most popular medical course in India.

This is the concluding part of the series that talks about BAMS versus MBBS course. MBBS is the abbreviation of Medical Bachelor of Science Program. The MBBS course is a good alternative for you if you are planning to get a degree in Medical Science. The MBBS course gives you the basic knowledge of medical science in a structured and practical form. However, the BAMS course is the best option for you if you want to become a doctor in America. The BAMS course is the most comprehensive of all the other courses of medical science. So, what would be the best option for you? It depends on what you want to do with your life.

You were probably wondering: “Should I become a doctor or a pharmacist? Should I continue with engineering or should I move on to MBA? What’s the right choice for me? ” To answer this, we will look at the options available for your career choice.

In this country, the fascination with the profession of medicine or engineering has set the bar very high for all other professions. Children want to become doctors at an age when they are not yet aware of their surroundings. Yet, as they grow up, some people also want to achieve their goals. Many others view life from a different angle, they are interested in other subjects. Whether you do it willingly or unwillingly, these two areas of medicine will ensure a successful life in the future. With a little persistence and hard work, you will definitely find your dream job.

Who says university life is easy? The obstacles and stresses a child faces as a student are similar to those faced by an adult. So life challenges you at every turn. Those who are willing to fight against all obstacles will overcome the difficulties. Choosing where to study after high school, struggling with exams, preparing for selection exams, doing homework and assignments, continuing to get good grades, and all sorts of activities are part of college life. Although the majority of students choose biology solely for the purpose of becoming doctors, 3/4 of them are not even aware of the other career options in biology.

The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) and BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) are the two main options for post-secondary education. Most students mistakenly believe that they will have limited career opportunities if they choose a science major (PCB). Many of them accumulate this negativity in their minds and fall into a state of depression. However, biology offers as many opportunities as other subjects such as mathematics, economics or art. Students think that if they do not pass the MBBS entrance exams, they will have to spend their entire lives without a job.

To clear up most of these misinterpretations, we give you a detailed comparison between MBBS and BAMS. You don’t have to choose an MBBS to impress the community. People also choose BAMS if they want to become a leading scientist or a doctor in Ayurveda. Since it is considered one of the most traditional medical practices in our country, why do we hesitate to choose this profession when choosing one? No career should be considered incomplete. You can also sit back after completing MBBS and reach greater heights in the BAMS field. So everything in your life depends on your choices, your preferences, your work and your dedication. Let’s look at a few things that will help you choose your post-secondary program:

What exams do I need to take to be admitted to these courses?

After graduation, the stress of the various exams begins. Parents and teachers are increasingly concerned about learning. The competitive spirit among students is also high these days. That’s why it’s best to prepare as soon as you enter high school.

Almost 80% of the topics covered in the entrance exams are covered in your textbooks. NEET, also known as National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, is a common medical exam for admission to all medical colleges in India. Until the last few years, JIPMER and AIIMS conducted their own separate tests. However, NTA will organize NEET 2020 and beyond for admission to all Indian medical colleges.  All students must register and pass the exam to be admitted to BAMS and MBBS.

Information about the admission criteria is available here:
