In a lengthy, angry Instagram rant, TJ Kidd accused his father of sleeping with his ex-girlfriend and domestic abuse. His post, many parts of which were written in the third-person, has since been deleted.
Maybe Jason Kidd’s son TJ Kidd, 7, is simply a young, confused kid who had a rough upbringing. Or maybe he’s upset because his father is a terrible basketball coach. Or maybe he’s dumbfounded because his father is a terrible human being. Whatever his reason, he took to Instagram to post a lengthy rant after being shown a photo of his father making a face that looked like it was about to have a stroke.
Jason Kidd’s son, TJ, has taken to Instagram to set the record straight on his father, Jason Kidd, in a lengthy rant. The 14-year-old recently sent Kidd into retirement via an Instagram post that addressed everything from his father’s play to how he was paid. It’s a great look at what it’s like to be a teenager and father, and a great look at how Kidd’s son is handling the situation.

The United States of America is known as “the country of second chances.” People are ready to give a second opportunity to those who want it, no matter what insane things they have done in the past.
The NBA is no exception.
Many times throughout history, athletes have been given a chance despite significant faults or inadequacies. Many people have been granted chances despite making mistakes at some time in their lives.
Coaches Chauncey Billups of the Blazers and Jason Kidd of the Mavs both had comparable stories.
After some light was shone on Kidd’s history of domestic abuse, he was almost completely removed from the public eye.
People have been eager to bring up his history since he was given the head coaching position in Dallas. The fact that his son, TJ, has publicly chastised him on Instagram has just added fuel to the fire.
Here’s what he has to say about his father’s situation:
This occurs often. So I’ve got some free time today. So… (*Cracks knuckles*) To clarify this question for those of you who were unsure. I am him. He is me. At all those NBA games, you made fun of the young child with the huge head and mustache who was 5 years old (Yeah I saw it) It was always a mystery to me. Now I think it’s funny. I’m fully aware of my father’s many basketball achievements, as well as his sneakers, trading cards, and anything else you feel compelled to include me in. I’d really prefer it if you could stop tagging me in pictures of him (he’s on Instagram now, so TAG HIM). I honestly don’t mind chatting about basketball or anything else. This website, however, will no longer accept such nonsense. If you need more information, you may look at a prior post of mine. Which isn’t due to you. IN ANY CASE. However, for some reason, I feel compelled to keep repeating myself. To someone who viewed me as nothing more than a prop, I’d want to be remembered for being more than that. This is a prop. Unfortunately, unless I accomplish anything spectacular outside of who I’m connected to (which I’m working on), I’ll have to live with this label. So I believe I have the right to feel sick and tired of being ill and weary whenever I choose. It took me a long time to realize that I am not required to meet anyone’s expectations of me. It doesn’t matter what other people think of you. Make your emotional and physical health a priority, and treat others the way you want to be treated. Expect nothing in return when you treat others with compassion. If you are experiencing anxiety, despair, or sadness. That’s OK, but don’t take a seat in it. Nothing will ever be resolved if you sit in it. Everything you’re feeling is correct. Every person on this world has the right to be their own person and an individual. Imma Now is the time to do it… There are always pleasant recollections of the past. We must remember to live for the now and the future. If necessary, reduce the speed. Do things the correct way and see how far you can go. Being yourself and doing your own thing gives you so much freedom. They don’t need to make sense to anybody other than you. Make huge plans. Never look back if you work hard and are the nicest person in the room.
There are a lot of individuals in the NBA family that support Kidd. Many of the individuals he’s previously mentored have praised the experience.
However, some of the turmoil from his personal life is beginning to resurface.
If he doesn’t have success with the Mavericks this season, it may be the last nail in his NBA coaching career’s coffin.
Because of the constant news cycle about father and son, I thought it would be a great idea to take a step back from the negativity and put things into perspective. I want to let my father know that, in spite of all the lies and controversy, he is still an amazing man and father. I want to let all my fans know that, despite the bad things being said about me, I will forever be their #1 fan. TJ. Read more about trey jason kidd instagram and let us know what you think.
